Designing and construction of steel structures
1972-2023 y.
The history of the enterpise starts from the foundation of “Zapremmash” production association in 1972 in the USSR. Its’ successor, production and assembly enterprise “Econ-Stroi”, located in Svetly of Kaliningrad region, is currently a unit of the holding.
During the years of efficient operation, this Soviet, later Russian enterprise constructed many big objects and acquired a reputation of a reliable partner, which carries out its work qualitatively and on time. Currently, ECON group companies is an enterprise of complete cycle, which carries out different types of work from construction designing to construction installation complying with its business principles – professionalism, high quality and a comprehensive approach.
Manufacture of metal structures
Plant in Silute, Lithuania
The production capacity of the plant is 150tons of metal per year.
The main production core of the ECON Group is E.P.K. UAB, which was created specifically for the industrial production of building structures. Advantageous geographical position of the enterprise allows to deliver metal structures to construction sites quickly and cost-effectively.
The plant is equipped with the most modern European metal processing equipment and includes production lines for abrasive (shotblasting) material cleaning. Anticorrosion treatment can be carried out both using high-quality paints and hot-dip galvanizing.
Technological process of metal constructions includes SA2,5 shot grid blasting and corrosion protection using two-component acrylic primer-paint with a thickness of at least 55 microns, the customer is willing to choose the color. For a better protection of metal structures from corrosion, a method of industrial weld cleaning is used.
Fully automatized construction process and high precision of modern equipment allows us to ensure the highest quality of manufactured metal structures that meets absolutely all international standards. Elements of ECON building metal structures are manufactured on automated lines of E.P.K. UAB. Metal processing almost completely occurs under the control of electronics. Manual work is used just for welding of canopy elements, such as flanges and plates, and for blast cleaning of welds.
The total area of workshop production premises is 3500 m², the area of administrative premises is -130 m².
Main machines and equipment:
- a steel shot blasting line;
- an automatic three spindles drilling machine Peddinghaus PCD-1100;
- Suitable for efficient drilling and punching of rolling profiles, such as I-beams, T-beams, steel bars, angles, hollow profiles and strip steel;
- a sheet metal plasma cutting machine;
- modern welding equipment.
Average number of employees: 20 people.
The industrial complex is located in Svetly of Kaliningrad region on a land plot of 8,000 m² and includes an administrative and household complexes, industrial premises with a total area of 2,232.4 m²; warehouses and sites for storage of materials and finished products.
All production facilities are equipped with crane equipment (bridge cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 5 tons, cantilever cranes with a lifting capacity of 1 tons, street gantry cranes with a lifting capacity of 5 tons). The plant is equipped with all necessary equipment for the implementation of procurement, assembly, welding and painting work.
The total number of employees in primary production averages 25 people. Production capacities of the enterprise allow producing up to 100 tons of finished products per month.

Cut, Drill, Weld Processes
Our specialist 3500 sqm metal fabrication workshop In Silute, Lithuania enables us to fabricate and weld products to suit our clients’ needs. It also means we can create bespoke products and work quickly and efficiently. Our fabrication team is experienced in traditional techniques and armed with innovative suggestions able to fabricate steelwork. This allows us to provide technical advice and design the product to individual needs and specifications as per the drawing requirements.
Our metal fabrication workshop is compliant with EN 1090 under the scope of Construction Products Regulation and all our structural steel fabrication is EU Marked product.
